Executive Treasury Manager

Job Summary The Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing the companys treasury operations, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, export finance, working capital, trade finance instruments, and regulatory compliance. The role is critical for an export-oriented FIBC manufacturer dealing with international customers, foreign currency receivables, import payments, packing credit, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and export realization requirements under applicable Indian regulations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on treasury experience in an export-led manufacturing setting, strong relationships with banks, practical exposure to foreign currency transactions, and the ability to balance risk control with business support. Experience in FIBC, woven packaging, technical textiles, or high-volume export manufacturing will be an added advantage.

This position reports to the VP Finance and will be based at the corporate office in Bengaluru with occasional visits to factory. (Twice a month)

Key Responsibilities

1. Treasury and Fund Management

- Manage daily cash flows, fund positions, liquidity planning, and short-term fund deployment.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts based on export receivables, domestic collections, import payments, loan repayments, and operating expenses.
- Ensure optimum utilization of working capital limits, packing credit, bill discounting, cash credit, overdraft, term loans, and other banking facilities.
- Monitor interest costs and recommend opportunities for reduction through negotiation, refinancing, or better utilization of available facilities.
- Coordinate with plant, purchase, sales, export documentation, accounts, and management teams for fund planning and payment prioritization.

1. Foreign Exchange and Hedging Management

- Identify, monitor, and manage foreign currency exposures arising from export receivables, import payables, foreign currency loans, and customer advances.
- Track daily currency movements, obtain forex rates from banks, and advise management on exposure and risk trends.
- Execute forward contracts and other approved hedging instruments in line with the companys forex risk policy.
- Maintain hedge registers, exposure statements, maturity schedules, mark-to-market records, and bank confirmations.
- Coordinate with banks for booking, cancellation, rollover, settlement, and utilization of forward contracts.




- Ensure foreign exchange transactions comply with internal approval limits, risk appetite, and applicable regulatory requirements.

1. Export Finance and Trade Finance Operations

- Manage export packing credit, post-shipment credit, bill discounting, foreign bill negotiation, buyers credit, and other export finance facilities.
- Coordinate with banks for letters of credit, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, export bills, inward remittances, and export realization documentation.
- Review LC terms, payment terms, bank charges, discrepancy clauses, and documentary requirements in coordination with export documentation and commercial teams.
- Follow up on export proceeds realization, overdue receivables, bank realization certificates, and closure of export bills.
- Monitor customer payment terms and support sales and export teams in evaluating financial and banking implications of export contracts.
- Coordinate with ECGC or credit insurance providers, where applicable, for cover, claims, buyer limits, and documentation.

1. Banking Relationships and Facility Management

- Manage day-to-day relationships with consortium, multiple banking partners, authorized dealer banks, and financial institutions.
- Negotiate interest rates, forex margins, bank charges, processing fees, LC/BG commissions, and renewal terms.
- Prepare documentation for sanction, renewal, enhancement, and modification of working capital and term loan facilities.
- Track limit utilization, drawing power, stock statements, book debt statements, covenants, collateral requirements, and compliance submissions.
- Ensure timely execution of banking documents, board resolutions, charge creation/modification, and related filings in coordination with company secretarial teams.

1. Compliance, Controls, and Reporting

- Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, banking, GST export-related finance requirements, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Track and coordinate closure of EDPMS and IDPMS entries with banks and internal teams.
- Prepare treasury MIS covering cash flow, forex exposure, hedge position,



loan position, bank limit utilization, export receivables, overdue bills, interest cost, and bank charges.
- Support statutory audit, internal audit, bank audit, stock audit, credit rating review, and lender due diligence.
- Strengthen treasury controls, maker-checker processes, documentation discipline, approval workflows, and record retention.
- Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and dashboard requirements for better treasury visibility.

Key Performance Indicators
- Accuracy and timeliness of cash flow forecasting.
- Reduction in interest cost, bank charges, and forex margins.
- Effective management of export receivables and timely realization of proceeds.
- Compliance with RBI, FEMA, bank, and internal treasury requirements.
- Timely renewal and optimal utilization of banking limits.
- Quality of treasury MIS, forex exposure reporting, and hedge monitoring.
- Reduction in overdue export bills, documentation discrepancies, and banking delays.

Qualifications and Experience
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M. Com or equivalent finance qualification preferred.
- 812 years of relevant experience in treasury, banking, forex, export finance, or corporate finance.
- Experience in export-oriented manufacturing, FIBC, technical textiles, packaging, plastic woven sacks, chemicals, engineering goods, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of working capital limits, export packing credit, LC, BG, bill discounting, forward contracts, bank documentation, and forex risk management.
- Knowledge of RBI, FEMA, export realization, EDPMS, IDPMS, and authorized dealer bank processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to ERP systems, treasury dashboards, and banking portals preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical, numerical, and financial modelling skills.
- Sound understanding of forex markets, export finance, and banking operations.
- High attention to detail in documentation, reconciliation, and compliance tracking.
- Commercial acumen to support export pricing, customer payment terms, and working capital decisions.
- Good negotiation skills with banks and financial institutions.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including exports, purchase, production, accounts, logistics, and senior management.
- High integrity, confidentiality, ownership, and ability to work under deadlines.
