Job Summary The Tooling EDM Jr. Engineer at Jabil, Inc. will support the manufacturing process by assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of EDM tooling, ensuring high-quality and efficient production. This role involves learning and applying EDM principles to optimize tooling performance and resolve technical issues.

Job Responsibilities

- Assist senior engineers in the design and development of EDM electrodes and tooling fixtures.

- Perform programming and setup of EDM machines for various tooling applications.

- Monitor EDM processes, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of EDM equipment.

- Participate in the inspection and quality control of manufactured tooling components.

- Collaborate with design and production teams to identify and implement tooling improvements.

- Document tooling specifications, manufacturing procedures, and maintenance records.

- Support the analysis of tooling failures and propose corrective actions.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during tooling operations.





- Continuously learn and stay updated on new EDM technologies and best practices.

Job Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

- Familiarity with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) principles and processes.

- Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Prior internship or relevant project experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
