Job Summary:-

Grew Solar is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Manager – Bidding & Tendering to lead end-to-end government and institutional tendering activities for Solar PV Modules. The role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing the complete bidding lifecycle, developing competitive commercial strategies, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and maximizing bid success rates.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in government procurement processes, solar PV module products, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Tender Identification & Business Development

- Identify and monitor government and institutional tenders through CPPP, GeM, SECI, NTPC, State DISCOMs, EPC contractors, and other procurement portals.
- Evaluate tender feasibility based on technical, commercial, and strategic parameters.
- Analyze market intelligence, competitor activities, and upcoming procurement opportunities.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and coordinate submission of technical and commercial clarifications.

2. Bid Management

- Lead complete bid preparation from tender review to final submission.
- Coordinate preparation of technical, commercial, financial, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of bids through e-procurement platforms.
- Maintain bid calendars, trackers, documentation, and post-bid follow-up activities.

3. Commercial & Pricing Strategy

- Develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring target profitability.
- Prepare cost sheets, commercial calculations, and pricing models.
- Coordinate with Finance and Commercial teams for bid approvals.
- Review payment terms, bank guarantees, performance securities, and financial compliance requirements.

4. Cross-functional Coordination





- Collaborate with Engineering, SCM, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Legal, and Sales teams for bid preparation.
- Coordinate contract review, risk assessment, and deviations before submission.
- Ensure seamless handover of awarded projects to execution teams.

5. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with tender specifications, statutory requirements, certifications, and documentation standards.
- Verify compliance with BIS, ALMM, IEC standards, warranty requirements, and customer-specific qualifications.
- Maintain standardized bid templates and continuously improve internal bidding processes.

6. Process Improvement

- Analyze tender outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain bid success metrics and win-loss analysis.
- Implement best practices to improve bid quality, accuracy, and submission timelines.

Desired Candidate Profile:- Education:-

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- MBA (Marketing/Finance) will be an added advantage.

Experience:-

- 8–12 years of experience in Bidding & Tendering within the Solar, Renewable Energy, EPC, Electrical, or Manufacturing industry.
- Robust exposure to Government Tendering and Institutional Sales.
- Experience handling Solar PV Module tenders will be highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge:-

- Government procurement procedures and e-tendering portals (CPPP, GeM, SECI, NTPC, State Utilities).
- Solar PV Module technology, BIS, ALMM, IEC standards, and technical specifications.
- Commercial bid preparation, pricing strategy, cost estimation, and financial analysis.
- Contract management and tender documentation.

Skills & Competencies:-

- Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under strict timelines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, and e-procurement portals.
