Role Description The Telecounsellor role is a full time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The Telecounsellor will engage with prospective learners and their families via telephone to explain Emversity’s programs, resolve queries, and guide them through the admission or enrollment process. Daily responsibilities include making outbound calls, handling inbound inquiries, maintaining accurate records of conversations, and following up with leads to support conversion targets.
The role also involves clearly communicating program benefits, eligibility criteria, and career outcomes, while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone. Telecounsellors collaborate with internal teams to share feedback from learners and support continuous improvement in counseling processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken English and Hindi, active listening, and an empathetic counseling approach.
Candidates should possess skills in lead management and customer service,
including handling inquiries, following up with prospective learners, and maintaining accurate records in CRM or similar systems.
Candidates should possess basic computer and administrative skills, including proficiency with office applications, call-handling tools, and data entry.
Candidates should possess skills in problem-solving and persuasion, including the ability to explain program details, address concerns, and support informed decision-making.
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include prior experience in telecounseling, admissions, or education counseling; familiarity with skill development or higher education ecosystems; and the ability to work in a target-driven environment.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred.
