Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Tekla Detailer, Modeler, and Checker. The role involves creating accurate 3D models in Tekla Structures for steel and concrete projects, including connections, assemblies, and miscellaneous steel components. The team member will prepare and update GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Daily responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, project managers, and other detailers, interpreting design drawings and specifications, and identifying clashes or constructability issues within the model.



The role also includes checking and reviewing models and drawings for completeness and accuracy, managing revisions, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting smooth communication with fabrication shops and site teams.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modeling, detailing, and drawing production for steel and concrete elements.

Experience with structural detailing for steel and rebar, including connection detailing, shop drawings, and erection drawings.

Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Experience in model and drawing checking, quality control, clash detection, and revision management.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes for structural detailing and fabrication.

Good communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines.

Robust attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Prior experience in engineering consultancy, fabrication, or construction environments is preferred.

Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and to learn new tools, workflows, and standards as required.
