About the Role : We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (Product & Delivery) to own product and delivery end-to-end — and to be genuinely hands-on with technology while doing it. This is not a pure process role. You will write requirements and run sprints, but you will also test APIs yourself, query databases to answer product questions, read logs to triage field issues, and validate what engineering ships before it reaches schools.

You will act as the on-ground bridge between government and field stakeholders, leadership, and the engineering team in Pune — translating field reality into technical requirements and technical constraints back into stakeholder language.

Roles And Responsibilities Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: requirement gathering, roadmap, prioritization, delivery, and post-release iteration.

Translate field and government requirements into detailed PRDs, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria.

Be hands-on with the product’s technical layer: test REST APIs (Postman or similar), run queries on MongoDB/PostgreSQL to investigate product and data questions, and read dashboards and logs to triage issues before routing them to engineering.

Drive sprint planning, backlog management, and release planning with the engineering team (Linear/Jira).

Own user acceptance testing and release sign-off — nothing ships to schools without structured validation.

Work with the AI/ML team to validate AI feature quality (e.g., handwriting OCR and speech assessment outputs) using structured checks and explicit quality thresholds, not gut feel.

Track product performance using analytics and direct data queries; convert findings into concrete improvements.

Coordinate with SCERT, government, and field implementation teams; conduct field visits to schools when needed to see real usage conditions.

Monitor timelines, dependencies, and risks; remove delivery bottlenecks across teams.

Communicate status, milestones, and risks clearly to leadership and external stakeholders.

Establish documentation standards and lightweight delivery governance that helps the team ship rather than slowing it down.

Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology — a technical foundation is required given the hands-on scope of this role.

4–7 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, or Delivery Management for software products.

Demonstrated hands-on technical ability: you can write basic SQL/NoSQL queries, test an API from documentation, and read application logs. Be prepared to do all three in the interview.

Strong understanding of how modern web/mobile applications are built — enough to have an informed conversation with engineers about architecture, effort, and trade-offs.

Experience delivering software using Agile methods; strong command of PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Excellent stakeholder management, including with non-technical stakeholders such as government and field teams.

Experience with project management tools (Linear, Jira, or similar) and analytics tools.

Strong analytical and diagnostic reasoning — we value the ability to work through an unfamiliar problem methodically over recall of frameworks or certifications.

Strong written documentation skills and clear, concise communication.

Preferred Qualifications Experience working on AI/ML-powered products, especially evaluating model output quality with data.

Experience in EdTech, social impact, government, or public sector projects.

Working understanding of cloud platforms and deployment basics.

Familiarity with UX principles and user-centered design.

Marathi language proficiency is an advantage (our platform and field users are Marathi-speaking).

Details Location: Kothrud, Pune.
