Experience: 1–3 Years Mandatory: DGCA UAS regulations and Type Certification, AS9100D Quality Management Systems (Internal Auditor certification) Core Purpose

Own the mechanical and structural compliance of drone products, ensuring designs, materials, testing, and documentation meet applicable airworthiness, safety, and certification requirements. Key Responsibilities

● Conduct mechanical compliance audits against standards such as MIL-STD, AS, ISO, and DGCA Type Certification requirements.

● Identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions in the respective domain.

● Plan and execute mechanical validation testing, including vibration, shock, drop, temperature, IP rating, and structural load testing.

● Draft and implement SOPs for compliance and testing activities.

● Collaborate with R&D; teams on design-for-compliance improvements.

● Prepare technical files, test reports, and certification documentation.

● Coordinate with NABL-accredited and DGCA-recognized test laboratories.

● Develop test plans, witness certification tests, and review lab reports.





● Maintain compliance traceability matrices.

● Prepare compliance timelines, budgets, and certification cost estimates.

Required

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

● 1–3 years of experience in product compliance, quality, testing, or certification.

● Hands-on experience with mechanical testing and validation.

● Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T;, and material specifications.

● Robust documentation and reporting skills.

Qualifications

● Knowledge of DGCA UAS regulations and Type Certification requirements.

● Exposure to AS9100D Quality Management Systems (Internal Auditor certification is a plus, not must).

● Familiarity with EASA CS-UAS and/or FAA certification processes is a plus, not must.

● Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.

● Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.

● Prior experience in drones, aerospace, defence, or automotive industries.
