Short Description Job Title: HRT – PYP (Homeroom Teacher) Location: OAKRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, BANGALORE Job Summary The PYP Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) through inquiry-based learning, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher collaborates with colleagues and parents to ensure holistic student growth.
Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging IB PYP lessons.
Foster inquiry-based and student-centered learning.
Assess, monitor, and report student progress.
Create a positive, inclusive, and protected classroom environment.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership.
Participate in school events, professional development, and IB initiatives.
Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and school policies.
Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
Experience in IB PYP or an international school is an advantage.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
