Role Description The System Administrator and Desktop Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. The role involves managing and maintaining servers, desktops, laptops, and network devices to ensure stable and secure IT operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include installing and configuring operating systems and applications, monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving user support requests. The person in this role will work closely with internal teams to handle incident management, backup and recovery, user account administration, and basic network and security configurations. Additional duties include documenting procedures, maintaining asset inventories, coordinating with vendors for hardware and software support,



and contributing to continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and service quality.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong system administration skills, including experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems, server configuration, user management, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Candidates should possess desktop and end-user support skills, such as hardware troubleshooting, peripheral setup, OS and application installation, and resolving day-to-day user issues.
- Candidates should possess basic networking skills, including familiarity with TCP/IP, switches and routers, Wi-Fi configuration, network monitoring, and troubleshooting connectivity problems.
- Candidates should possess IT security and compliance skills, including awareness of antivirus and endpoint protection tools, patch management, data backup practices, and adherence to organizational security policies.
- Candidates should possess documentation and communication skills, including the ability to create clear support guides, maintain incident logs, and communicate technical information in an understandable manner.
- Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience with ITIL-based support processes, exposure to healthcare or e-governance environments, knowledge of ticketing tools, and industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar.
- A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with the ability to work collaboratively, manage priorities, and support on-site operations in Bengaluru South.
