In this role, you will support the sustainability journey of familiar brands such as Mentos, Chupa Chups, Smint, and Fruittella. You will join a global organisation with 18K employees, 38 Operating Companies and 31 Manufacturing facilities spread worldwide.

What will you be doing in this role?

- Be a part of PVM’s Group Procurement function and, working in close collaboration with PVM’s Group Sustainability function, facilitate the execution of PVM’s Sustainable Sourcing strategy aligned with the requirements of PVM’s Sustainability Goals.
- Support the creation of policies and share expertise on responsible sourcing, due diligence, traceability, and reporting within the entire value chain.
- Collect environmental and social data from suppliers, whilst executing and ensuring smart analysis, seamless communication, pragmatic digitalization, and data exchange with all partners.
- Contribute to different projects aimed at ensuring that PVM Procurement’s systems, processes, and procedures comply with PVM’s traceability and sustainability objectives.
- Working with your line manager, the Procurement Sustainability Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant government regulations as well as voluntary certification schemes for PVM’s value chains, where and as appropriate.
- The Procurement Sustainable Consultant has to build, grow and nurture stakeholder relationships,



deliver data as needed – both regular and ad hoc – and publish agreed reports and other metrics on a fixed frequency. Amongst others, this will include various sustainability targets and outlines reduction measures, roadmaps to achieve a comprehensive carbon reduction plan for Scope 3 emissions, encompassing areas like Packaging and Raw Materials.
- You work together with stakeholders across various functions, including Regulatory, R&D; and Legal.
- It requires facilitating and supporting systemic change internally and bridging technical solution gaps, with a focus on achieving longer-term change management and integration into business practices for all compliance-oriented activities, such as certification/verification and signature programs.
- Actively collaborate with suppliers through training programs and initiatives designed to facilitate the implementation and ongoing monitoring of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
- Prepare and contribute to the regular progress updates for the Procurement Sustainability Lead with other functional leads and/or management on different sustainability work streams.
- Having a great interest in developments in the environment,



proactively share knowledge with the Procurement Lead and make suggestions for need-based training for the operational procurement teams.

Above all, bring a business focussed and pragmatic approach to the achievement of PVM’s Sustainability goals. Who are you, and what do you bring?

- You have about 5+ years’ experience in Procurement or sourcing throughout the agrifood value chain.
- You have a keen interest in sustainability and wish to contribute to it.
- You have delivered data/contributed to measuring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Scope 3 Goals, circularity, and social procurement within a multinational Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) corporation or, at least, a Regional one.
- You know where to learn more on the evolving regulations such as CSRD, CSDDD, EUDR, and other forthcoming global regulatory frameworks. Follow relevant sources for regulatory changes to ensure compliance and maximize opportunities.
- Explicit understanding of and strong working experience in Supplier Certification Standards and audit schemes like SEDEX, etc.,
- Commercially savvy, high level of numeracy, strong analytical and negotiation skills, a drive for action and the ability to bring a pragmatic approach to the role.
- Having experience in contributing to the development and execution of a sustainable packaging procurement project or to environmental responsibility goals and corporate sustainability goals is a plus.
- Experience working in an international environment and cross-cultural communication, ability to demonstrate a sense of empathy and stakeholder management capabilities.
