Key Responsibilities

1. Protection System

Assist in installation and configuration of protection relays (distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault, etc.) Support design validation of protection schemes for substations and transmission systems

Monitor and maintain healthiness of protection panels and auxiliary systems

1. Relay Coordination

Help in setting and verifying relay parameters based on system fault studies Participate in coordination studies to ensure selectivity and sensitivity of protection devices

Assist senior engineers in preparing relay setting files and logic diagrams

3.Testing & Commissioning

Conduct primary and secondary injection tests for CTs, PTs, and relays

Perform functional checks and interlock verification of protection circuits

Document test results and support energization procedures for substations and switchyards

1. Safety & Compliance

Follow electrical safety protocols during high-voltage testing and commissioning Ensure compliance with grid codes, utility standards, and OEM manuals

Maintain detailed records of test procedures, relay settings, and commissioning reports
