Role Description The Student Volunteer - Chennai role is a hybrid volunteer position, with activities based in Chennai and some tasks that can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities may include supporting local events, campaigns, and workshops, assisting with outreach to schools, colleges, and community groups, and helping coordinate logistics for youth programs.

Volunteers may contribute to online tasks such as communication, documentation, and basic social media support,



as well as participate in meetings and planning sessions. The role is designed to provide practical experience in teamwork, community engagement, and leadership while contributing to the organization’s youth-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong interest in youth leadership, community service, and social impact.
- Basic communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and local languages.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and engage respectfully with peers and community members.
- Positive organizational skills, reliability in completing assigned tasks, and willingness to take initiative.
- Comfort with using digital tools (email, messaging platforms, basic document creation) for coordination and remote work.
- Currently enrolled as a student or recently graduated, with availability to attend occasional in-person activities in Chennai.
- Positive attitude, openness to learning, and readiness to represent the organization’s values in all interactions.
