Role Description The Student Volunteer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Uttarkashi. Volunteers support educational programs by assisting with teaching, tutoring, mentoring, and organizing learning activities for children and youth. They help with community outreach, awareness campaigns, and events related to agriculture, youth development, and cultural initiatives.

Daily tasks may include preparing educational materials, coordinating workshops, documenting activities, and engaging with local community members.

Volunteers collaborate with foundation staff and other volunteers, contribute ideas for projects, and participate in field visits or community-based activities as needed.

Qualifications

Interest in education, community service, and social welfare, with a willingness to work closely with children, youth, and local communities.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, collaborate in teams, and interact respectfully with diverse groups.

Basic organizational and time management abilities to plan activities, manage schedules, and support events or workshops effectively.

Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to handle on-the-ground challenges in rural or semi-rural settings.

Commitment to learning about local culture, agriculture, and community needs, with openness to receiving guidance and feedback.

Currently enrolled student or recent graduate from any discipline; prior volunteering or community engagement experience is an advantage but not required.

Ability to be present on-site in Uttarkashi for the full-time duration of the volunteer program.
