Job Title: Store Manager

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall management of inventory, material movement, and store operations. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely material receipt and issuance, proper documentation, and coordination with procurement, production, accounts, and service teams.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/stock register.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.

Stock In & Stock Out

- Ensure proper inward and outward entry of all materials.
- Issue materials to production/service departments against approved requisitions.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper documentation for every stock movement.

Material Receipt

- Receive materials as per Purchase Orders.
- Verify quantity, quality, and specifications before accepting materials.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection when required.
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
- Label and store materials systematically.

Vendor Bill Submission

- Collect supplier invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and supporting documents.
- Verify documents against received materials.
- Submit verified bills to the Accounts Department within the prescribed timeline.




- Maintain records of all submitted invoices and pending bills.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), Gate Passes, and Stock Registers.
- Ensure proper filing of all inventory documents.
- Support internal and external audits.

Store Operations

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Ensure proper storage and safety of materials.
- Coordinate with procurement for reorder levels.
- Prevent stock loss, pilferage, and material damage.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management.
- Good understanding of stock accounting and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Inventory software.
- Robust analytical and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Diploma in Store/Warehouse Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 1-3 years of experience in store or inventory management, preferably in the automobile, manufacturing, or engineering industry.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Inventory accuracy of 99%+ .
- Zero unauthorized stock movement.
- Timely material receipt and issuance.
- 100% GRN completion within 24 hours of receipt.
- Vendor bills submitted to Accounts within 48 hours of material receipt.
- Monthly physical stock verification completed on schedule.
- Zero stock shortages due to poor inventory management.
- Proper maintenance of all store records and documents.
