Role Description The Steel Modeler will be responsible for creating accurate 3D steel models and detailed drawings based on design and engineering specifications for a variety of structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural and structural drawings, developing connection details, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring that all models comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.

The Steel

Modeler will work closely with the detailing team to prepare shop drawings, erection plans, and material take-offs,



while maintaining quality, consistency, and deadlines across multiple projects. This is a full-time, in office role located in Kerala, India, requiring regular collaboration with internal stakeholders and adherence to established workflows and documentation practices.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in steel modeling and detailing software (e.g., Tekla Structures, SDS/2, Advance Steel, or similar tools) and strong understanding of 3D modeling workflows.
- Solid knowledge of structural steel components, connection detailing, and relevant industry codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, prepare shop and erection drawings, and generate accurate material take-offs.
- Strong attention to detail, quality control skills, and the ability to identify and resolve modeling and coordination issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, detailers, project managers, and external partners.
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in steel detailing.
- Experience with cloud-based project collaboration platforms and basic competency in standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to work on-site in Kerala, India, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
