Strong expertise in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) versions 6.x/7.x/8.x.
Hands-on experience with VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Switches.
Experience in VMware infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and datastore management.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or SRM
Valuable understanding of Windows and Linux server administration.
Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience in troubleshooting complex virtualization issues in production environments.
Hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Cisco UCS environments.
Strong knowledge of Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, Chassis, and Blade Servers.
Experience with UCS Service Profiles, Templates, Pools, and Policies.
Familiarity with Cisco UCS Central/Intersight administration and monitoring.
Experience in firmware upgrades, patch management, and UCS infrastructure maintenance.
Experience performing health checks, capacity planning, and root cause analysis for UCS infrastructure.
Ability to coordinate with server, storage, and network teams for infrastructure-related activities.
Hands-on experience with PowerCLI/PowerShell automation and scripting.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
Experience in capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Relevant certifications in VMware, Storage, Backup, Cloud, or Linux technologies Key Responsibilities: Manage and support VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter Server). Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of VMware infrastructure.
Drive ESXi version currency and upgrade planning,
upgrading non-latest / out-of-support ESXi versions to maintain patch compliance and OEM supportability.
Own the ESXi host lifecycle roadmap, prioritizing version upgrades, warranty/support considerations, and host refresh decisions.
Govern risk management, DR alignment, and service availability metrics for the hypervisor estate.
Monitor and maintain high availability of virtual environments.
Configure and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Fault Tolerance.
Capacity planning and performance tuning of virtual infrastructure.
ESXi hosts lifecycle management and cluster administration.
Manage datastore provisioning and VM resource allocation.
Conduct health checks and infrastructure audits.
Support DR solutions and disaster recovery testing.
Participate in DR planning and recovery validation for VMware-hosted workloads in line with Customer’s formalization of DR expectations and Experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
Knowledge of backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup.
Create SOPs, and operational documentation.
Maintain asset inventory and configuration records.
Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards.
Provide Level 3 technical support for complex VMware issues.
Analyze and resolve critical incidents within SLA timelines.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
Coordinate with OEM vendors (VMware/Broadcom, Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo) for issue resolution.
Work with ServiceNow / ServiceNow ITOM / SolarWinds / Grafana for event monitoring, ticketing, visibility, and trend reporting.
