Job Purpose To support and execute daily warehouse and container yard operations, ensuring effective cargo handling, inventory accuracy, customs compliance, safety adherence, and timely completion of operational activities while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Coordination & Resource Management

- Coordinate daily manpower deployment for warehouse activities.
- Support supervisors in allocating labor and equipment effectively.
- Ensure smooth execution of assigned operational activities.
- Monitor attendance and report manpower shortages.
- Coordinate with forklift operators and contract labor teams.

2. Warehouse & Cargo Operations

- Assist in planning and executing stuffing, destuffing, grounding, carting, and cargo handling activities.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned operational tasks.
- Verify cargo receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch activities.
- Monitor delivery order (DO) validity and coordinate timely cargo release.
- Ensure accurate system entries for warehouse transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation related to import, export, and bonded cargo.
- Coordinate with Customs, Transporters, Customers, and CHA representatives as required.

3. Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)/ERP.
- Support monthly inventory verification and stock reconciliation.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure proper cargo identification, stacking, and location management.

4. Compliance, Audit & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain operational records and statutory documents.
- Support internal, external, customer, and ISO audits.
- Prepare operational reports and submit them to management as required.
- Follow SOPs and assist in implementing process improvements.

5. Safety & Security

- Adhere to all safety, security, and operational guidelines.




- Ensure proper use of PPE by employees and contract labor.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Support emergency response and safety awareness activities.

6. Training & Continuous Improvement

- Participate in operational, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Support implementation of 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and service quality.
- Assist in reducing operational delays and improving turnaround time.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely completion of stuffing/destuffing activities.
- Accuracy of inventory records.
- Timely system transaction entries.
- Zero cargo damage incidents.
- Compliance with customs and operational procedures.
- Adherence to safety and 5S standards.
- Productivity and turnaround time achievement.
- Accuracy and timeliness of operational reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Basic knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Understanding of inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of Import, Export, CFS/ICD operations will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, ERP/WMS).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under operational pressure.
- Team-oriented and disciplined approach.

Reporting To: Sr. Manager / Manager Operations

Qualification

- Any Graduate
- Graduate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Logistics, Material Management, or related field preferred

Experience

- 2 to 4 Years of experience in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, CFS/ICD Operations, or Freshers with relevant qualifications may apply.
