Role Description The Sr Chiller Designer is responsible for leading the design and development of industrial chiller systems, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with applicable standards. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves creating detailed design specifications, selecting components, and preparing engineering drawings and documentation.

The role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and sales to refine designs, address technical queries, and support installation and commissioning.

The Sr Chiller

Designer will analyze thermal loads,



perform calculations to optimize efficiency, and recommend design improvements based on test results and field feedback. This position also involves mentoring junior designers, supporting cost and feasibility studies, and contributing to continuous improvement of chiller product lines.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in mechanical or thermal engineering, with experience in industrial refrigeration or chiller system design.
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools (e.g., CAD software) and the ability to create explicit technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and relevant industry standards or codes for chiller systems.
- Experience in component selection for chillers, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and control systems.
- Ability to conduct engineering calculations, performance analysis, and basic troubleshooting of chiller systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing teams.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and commitment to safety and quality in design.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline; prior experience in a senior or lead design role is preferred.
