Role Description This is a full time, on-site Speech and Swallow Therapist role based in Bengaluru. The therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson’s disease. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized therapy plans, delivering evidence-based speech and dysphagia interventions, and monitoring progress.

The role involves close collaboration with neurologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care, participate in case discussions,



and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning. The therapist will also educate patients, caregivers, and families on communication and swallowing strategies, safety measures, and home-based exercises, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and upholding ethical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Speech Therapy with practical experience in neurological rehabilitation.

Ability to assess and treat speech and communication disorders, including articulation and fluency issues.

Skills in managing dysphagia, including evaluation of swallowing function and implementation of safe feeding strategies.

Experience working with communication and language disorders, including expressive and receptive language difficulties.

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent recognized qualification.

Valid professional licensure or registration as required by local regulations.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment and communicate clearly with patients and teams.

Strong documentation, case management, and time-management skills, with an evidence-based and person-centered approach.

Prior experience in a neurorehabilitation setting and familiarity with assistive communication technologies is an advantage.
