Solution Architect - Snowflake Snowflake Investment Data Platform Implementation

Role Purpose The Snowflake Solution Architect will define the target architecture for the investment data platform, ensuring that the solution is scalable, secure, governed, performant, and aligned with business and data requirements across public and private investment domains.

Domain Focus

Investment data, public/private assets, historical backfill, portfolio reporting, data quality, and controlled delivery.

Technology Focus

Snowflake, cloud data platform, ETL/ELT, data integration, governance, reconciliation, and BI/reporting consumption.

Delivery Context

Sensitive financial data environment; structured phased delivery with formal governance, sign-offs, and transition to support.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end solution architecture for the Snowflake data platform.

Design the target data architecture, including ingestion, storage, transformation, semantic layers, security, governance, and consumption patterns.

Define the Snowflake architecture across environments, warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, access controls, data-sharing patterns, and performance strategy.

Translate business and investment data requirements into scalable technical designs.

Design integration patterns for investment source systems, accounting systems, portfolio systems, market data feeds, reporting tools, and downstream consumers.

Define the approach for historical data migration and backfill, including multi-year investment history, data reconciliation,



and auditability.

Work with security and governance teams to define data access, masking, encryption, audit, lineage, and control requirements.

Guide Snowflake Data Engineers and Integration Engineers during build and implementation.

Review technical deliverables, data models, integration designs, and performance tuning approaches.

Required Experience

10+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud data platforms, data warehousing, or analytics architecture.

Robust hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.

Experience designing data platforms for investment management, asset management, wealth management, capital markets, family office, private office, or financial-services environments.

Experience with investment data domains such as portfolios, holdings, transactions, performance, valuations, cash, benchmarks, market data, reference data, and historical investment records.

Experience with public and private investment data is strongly preferred.

Experience with data governance, security, role-based access control, data lineage, and sensitive financial data.
