An experienced Solution Architect Manager - Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to define, govern, and evolve enterprise MES architecture while actively contributing to solution design, development, implementation, and technical leadership. This role serves as the critical link between business requirements, solution architecture, and technical delivery, ensuring manufacturing technology platforms are scalable, standardized, secure, and aligned with global business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines deep MES expertise, strong solution architecture capabilities, hands-on technical experience, and leadership skills to drive successful manufacturing digitalization initiatives across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technology Strategy

- Define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) architecture roadmap.
- Establish architecture standards, design principles, development guidelines, and reusable solution patterns.
- Ensure consistency and standardization across manufacturing sites, integrations, applications, and deployments.
- Evaluate business requirements and assess their impact on the overall solution architecture.
- Drive solution governance and technical decision-making across MES initiatives.
- Ensure architecture solutions align with enterprise manufacturing and digital transformation strategies.

MES Development & Technical Leadership

- Actively participate in MES configuration, development, customization, and technical implementation activities.
- Design and develop complex solution components and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership during system implementation, upgrades, and enhancement projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical application, integration, and production issues.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Establish development best practices, coding standards, and technical governance processes.
- Mentor and guide development teams, technical consultants, and integration partners.

Product & Template Management

- Contribute to the evolution of global MES templates and manufacturing solution frameworks.




- Ensure solutions remain scalable, maintainable, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Support global deployment and rollout initiatives.
- Lead evaluations of new capabilities, enhancements, and technology opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement of MES products and manufacturing technology platforms.

Integration & Enterprise Connectivity

- Design and support integrations between MES, manufacturing systems, enterprise platforms, databases, and external applications.
- Ensure reliable communication across plant-floor and enterprise-level systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, and application teams to maintain end-to-end solution integrity.
- Support API, database, and system interface design and optimization.

Delivery & Implementation Leadership

- Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support functional and technical design activities and ensure solution requirements are fully understood.
- Create technical solution designs, implementation approaches, and development work packages.
- Break down business requirements into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and delivery tasks.
- Participate in Agile planning, sprint execution, prioritization, and delivery activities.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of technical requirements across development teams.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Provide technical leadership to both internal teams and third-party implementation partners.
- Review, challenge, and validate technical proposals and solution designs from vendors and system integrators.
- Collaborate with external product and support organizations to address complex technical challenges.
- Ensure external resources adhere to enterprise architecture, development, and security standards.
- Build strong relationships with manufacturing leaders, IT teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

Knowledge Management & Capability Building

- Build and strengthen internal MES and manufacturing technology expertise.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards,



technical procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer from external partners and suppliers to internal teams.
- Support long-term capability development and technical maturity across the organization.
- Promote best practices and continuous learning within manufacturing technology teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in complex manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience serving as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, MES Architect, or related leadership role.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Solid background in solution design, development, integration, and operational support.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and global technology programs.
