Role Description The Solidworks Design Engineer (2 years experience) will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for office furniture products. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and modifying designs in Solidworks, preparing manufacturing and assembly drawings, and ensuring designs meet ergonomic, functional, and safety requirements. The role involves collaborating with production, procurement, and sales teams to translate client requirements into feasible designs, optimizing materials and construction methods for cost and performance.

The engineer will support prototype development,



perform basic design validations and tolerance checks, and participate in design reviews to maintain quality and consistency across the product range. Documentation of design changes and adherence to company standards and timelines are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD tools for product and furniture design, including modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings.

Experience (around 2 years) in mechanical or product design, preferably in furniture, interior, or related manufacturing environments.

Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials (wood, metal, laminates, plastics), manufacturing processes, and basic tolerance/fit principles.

Ability to interpret client requirements, create ergonomic and practical designs, and align solutions with aesthetic and functional goals.

Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, sales, and installation) and manage feedback constructively.

Good documentation and organizational skills for maintaining design files, BOMs, and revision histories in line with company standards.

Bachelor’s or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in CAD/Solidworks are an advantage.

Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
