Job Title: SolarWinds L3 Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SolarWinds L3 Engineer to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-scale SolarWinds Orion monitoring environments. The ideal candidate should have expertise in SolarWinds administration, infrastructure monitoring, SQL Server, PowerShell/Python automation, cloud monitoring integrations, and incident management. The role involves designing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, integrating monitoring platforms, and mentoring L1/L2 support teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion Platform and associated modules.
- Perform platform installation, upgrades, patching, migration, and lifecycle management.
- Configure High Availability (HA), disaster recovery, and platform scalability.
- Design and implement enterprise monitoring strategies, alerting policies,



and escalation workflows.
- Configure and support NPM, SAM, NTA, NCM, IPAM, and UDT modules.
- Create dashboards, executive reports, and customized monitoring views.
- Act as the L3 escalation point for critical monitoring incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Optimize polling engines, alert configurations, and SQL database performance.
- Integrate SolarWinds with ServiceNow, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, Microsoft Teams, and email alerting.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and SQL.
- Prepare architecture documentation, SOPs, KEDBs, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and ensure adherence to operational standards and SLAs.
