Job: Software Engineer II

Location: Bengaluru

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you'll be responsible for the overall delivery of one or more software applications or services, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.

Responsibilities

- Platform Development: Develop and configure complex ServiceNow applications, workflows, and service catalog items using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.

- Integration Expert: Architect and implement API integrations (REST, SOAP, JDBC) between ServiceNow and third party systems.

- Architecture & Design: Act as a technical consultant to analyze business requirements and design scalable, maintainable solutions, following ITIL processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather software requirements, develop user stories, estimate effort, and create software design specifications. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using Agile methodologies, with an emphasis on automation.

Implement and execute automated and manual test plans-including unit, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing. Troubleshoot and resolve application, configuration, and environmental issues in production.

- CMDB Architectural Design: Define the overall CMDB structure, including CI class models, relationships,



and lifecycle states.

CSDM Alignment: Ensure the CMDB aligns with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Discovery & Mapping: Design and implement horizontal Discovery and Service Mapping for critical business services.

Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, user guides, and process workflows.

Requirements

- Experience: 5+ years in a ServiceNow Developer role, with 8+ years total IT experience.

- Technical Skills: Expert-level JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and experience with database technologies.

- Module Knowledge: Robust proficiency in ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Portal, and ideally other modules like CSM, FSM, or Sec Ops.

- Certifications: Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) are typically required, with Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) highly preferred.

- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, client-facing communication, and Agile methodology experience.

Education

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
