About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative CPU Software Architect to join our dynamic engineering team at Qualcomm India Private Limited. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing high-performance, energy-efficient software solutions that leverage deep knowledge of CPU architecture, Linux internals, and device drivers.

Your expertise will help shape the future of Qualcomm’s processing technologies, ensuring our products meet the demanding performance and power efficiency standards required for next-generation devices and applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including CPU, compiler, kernel, and open-source communities, to drive software advancements that push the boundaries of performance and scalability.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background with relevant hands-on experience in software engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,



Computer Science, or related fields with at least two years of industry experience is required.

Alternatively, a Master’s degree with one year of experience or a PhD in a similar domain will also be considered. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, and experience working with Linux internals, device drivers, and computer architecture are essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Develop and optimize software tailored for high-performance CPU architectures, focusing on enhancing processing speed and reducing power consumption. Conduct benchmarking and performance analysis on various applications, ensuring that pre- and post-silicon verification processes meet performance and power efficiency targets.

Create new benchmarks to evaluate upcoming workloads across different product segments, facilitating continuous improvement and innovation. Analyze software workloads at various levels—including libraries, compilers, assembly, and algorithms—to identify and implement optimization opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams such as CPU, compiler, and kernel developers, as well as external partners, including benchmark vendors and open-source communities,



to develop solutions that meet stringent performance requirements.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into software development strategies, ensuring Qualcomm’s leadership in the industry.
