About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Cognition, you will work with the team to design, develop, and configure Cognition Cockpit. Your typical day will span the gamut from writing the front-end using HTML/CSS/JavaScript to designing algorithms to efficiently retrieve and process data on the back-end using object-oriented languages. Are you up to the challenge of working with three or more different languages ? at the same time We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. You will see the ?big picture?, conduct discussions with various teams to develop the Architect for design & development & implementation of appropriate software. This position requires you to coordinate with our global clients to provide successful solutions utilizing an offshore team for designing, developing and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues and providing technical leadership.

Your Primary Responsibilities

- Engage as an agile team member who designs, develops,



configures the Cognition Cockpit.
- Work directly with the Engineering team to design and develop configuration strategies.
- Participate in customer meetings as a technical resource.
- Write and review design specifications.
- Be versatile and adaptable to meet the often-changing needs of a small and growing company.

Requirements

- Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with object-oriented languages (at least one of: C++, C#, Java).
- Experience with web scripting languages (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML).
- Detail oriented nature.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Experience

- Experience with Git.
- Experience with SmartClient, Bootstrap, or another framework is a plus.
- Experience with Systems or Design Engineering methodology.
- Experience with Requirements Management or Product Development software applications.

Desired / Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- B.E. in Computer Science or similar Engineering discipline.
- 6+ years of software development experience with B.E. degree.
- 4+ years of software development experience with Master?s degree.
