We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in backend development, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience building scalable, high-performance applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to build customer-centric fintech products.

This role is best suited for SDE2 or early SDE3 candidates who enjoy solving complex engineering problems and mentoring junior developers.

Must have Skills:

- 3–6 years of backend development experience (SDE2 / Early SDE3)
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17) and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture
- Experience working in the Payments domain
- Experience building or enhancing KYC (Know Your Customer) workflows
- Experience in User Onboarding and customer lifecycle journeys
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend system design
- Excellent coding, data structures, algorithms, and logical problem-solving skills
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code




- Exposure to SQL databases and performance optimization
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices
- Robust communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance payment processing, KYC, and user onboarding platforms.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
- Mentor 3–4 junior engineers , providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices.
- Drive continuous improvements in code quality, scalability, and development processes.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in product-based organizations, preferably FinTech.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
