Onsite Requirement: Resource must be available to work at the customer location in Chennai for approximately 20 days during the initial phase.
Role Summary The engineer will be responsible for managing product configuration data in Windchill PDMlink and Configuration Workbench (CWB) , including Options, Choices, Option Sets, Rules, Validation, and Integration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review ISM requirements and business requests and translate them into technical configuration requirements.
- Analyze the impact of configuration changes on existing products and systems.
- Identify required Options, Choices, Rules, and BOM changes.
- Create and maintain Options and Choices in Windchill.
- Link Options and Choices to Option Sets and configurable products.
- Export configuration data and perform PFMP transfers to Configuration Workbench (CWB).
- Create, maintain, and validate configuration rules in CWB.
- Analyze and resolve configuration and rule-related issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and IT teams.
- Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Provide user support for configuration-related activities and enhancements.
- Handle Item Creation, NPR processes, and Change Request (CR) / Change Notice (CN) activities.
- Strong understanding of Windchill PDMlink Product Configuration concepts and processes.
