Job Title: Software Asset Management ServiceNow Developer (7+ years)

Job Summary: The ServiceNow Developer specializing in Software Asset Management (SAM) is responsible for developing and implementing software asset management solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to enhance software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimizing software usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Development and Configuration: Configure and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro publisher packs.
- Integration: Integrate ServiceNow SAM Pro with SaaS publisher portals through out-of-the-box and custom integrations to improve usage data availability for license reconciliation.
- Entitlement Upload: Manage and support software entitlement uploads in ServiceNow SAM Pro, including preparing and validating entitlement data from purchase orders, contracts, publisher portals, and procurement records. Ensure accurate mapping to software models using publisher part numbers, normalized publisher/product/version/edition details, license metrics, quantities, contract references, and effective dates.
- Compliance Position Generation: Configure, execute, and troubleshoot ServiceNow SAM Pro reconciliation processes to generate accurate software compliance positions. Validate discovered installation and usage data, normalization results, software models, license metrics, allocations, downgrade/upgrade rights, and publisher-specific rules before reconciliation.
- Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain standard and performance analytics dashboards and reports to provide insights into software asset utilization, compliance status, and optimization opportunities.
- Workflow Development: Design and develop productive workflows that streamline processes and enhance user experience.
- Collaboration:



Work closely with the technical architect and product owner to align product vision, technical feasibility, and implementation strategies.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure data quality and functionality of developed solutions.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAM technical implementations and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of SAM solutions and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participation in Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Agile process by providing insights and feedback based on user experiences and testing outcomes.
- Adherence to Code Development Standards: Ensure that all development work adheres to established coding standards and best practices. Engage in code review processes to provide and receive constructive feedback and ensure that code quality meets organizational standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, and a strong command over SAMPro Module, including configurations, scripting, workflows, and tables.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Rest APIs, OOB integrations, IntegrationHub and related applications.
- Experience and command over software licensing and license compliance position creation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer) are a plus.
