Role Description The Snowflake and Matillion Admin role is a part time remote position responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s cloud data platform and ETL pipelines. Daily tasks include administering Snowflake environments, configuring warehouses and roles, monitoring performance, and ensuring data security and compliance.

The role also involves maintaining and troubleshooting Matillion ETL jobs, scheduling and monitoring workflows, handling job failures, and optimizing data transformations for efficiency. The admin will collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to support data integration, improve data reliability, and document configurations and processes.



This position requires proactive communication, clear status reporting, and adherence to best practices in cloud data management.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business users.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance understanding to support data analysis, reporting, and cost optimization of cloud resources.
- Candidates should possess Administrative Assistance skills to manage configurations, access controls, documentation, and routine maintenance activities.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration, including role-based access control, performance tuning, and data security.
- Practical experience with Matillion ETL or similar cloud-based ETL tools, including job design, scheduling, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
