Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Civil (Environmental)
- OR M.Sc./B.Sc. Chemistry with significant experience in Water Treatment Plant operations

Role Purpose The SME Manager Water Treatment Plant will act as the technical expert for water treatment operations across multiple sites. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient plant performance, water quality compliance, process optimization, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support to operations teams while ensuring adherence to statutory and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) operations.
- Monitor and optimize treatment processes to ensure consistent water quality and operational efficiency.
- Review and improve plant performance through process optimization and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Support commissioning, startup, and performance testing of recent WTP installations.
- Monitor water quality parameters and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Procurement, and Quality teams.
- Guide site teams in troubleshooting process, equipment, and chemical dosing issues.
- Evaluate treatment chemicals and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct technical audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.




- Train and mentor operations and maintenance teams on WTP processes and safety.
- Prepare technical reports, MIS, performance dashboards, and management presentations.
- Support customer discussions and provide technical solutions during project execution.

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of conventional and advanced water treatment processes.
- Experience in RO, UF, Softener, DM Plant, Filtration Systems, Clarifiers, and Disinfection Systems.
- Knowledge of chemical dosing, water chemistry, and laboratory analysis.
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, and process control systems.
- Understanding of CPCB/SPCB regulations and environmental compliance.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Industrial Water Treatment Plants, Municipal Water Treatment Plants, Pharma, FMCG, Power, Chemical, Steel, Oil & Gas, or Facility Management sectors.
- Exposure to commissioning and process optimization projects.
- Experience in handling multiple plant locations.
