Site Supervisor Engineer Site Supervisor Engineer Baghdad — Baghdad FullTime Office-based Deadline: Aug 09, 2026 8:40 AM Posted 8/5/2026 KAR OG KH DMCC is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor Engineer to join our team.
Summary The Site Supervisor Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring all site construction activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations. The role serves as the primary site representative, coordinating between contractors, consultants, project management, and clients to ensure successful project execution and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Construction Supervision Supervise daily construction activities across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes, standards, and project procedures.
Monitor contractor performance, workforce productivity, equipment utilization, and construction methodologies.
Verify that construction activities are completed in accordance with the approved project schedule and work plans.
Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements and construction procedures.
Site Coordination
Coordinate daily site activities among contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives.
Attend and lead site coordination meetings to resolve technical and operational issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during project execution.
Coordinate engineering clarifications and ensure timely implementation of approved design changes.
Monitor interfaces between different construction disciplines to avoid conflicts and delays.
Quality
Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Ensure construction activities comply with the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
Conduct routine site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
Review Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), material approvals, and test reports.
Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and project handover activities. Planning & Progress Monitoring Monitor daily construction progress against the approved baseline schedule.
Identify delays, construction constraints, and potential risks affecting project execution.
Recommend corrective and recovery actions to maintain project milestones.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
Maintain progress records, work logs, and site productivity reports.
Contract
Administration & Commercial Support Verify executed work quantities and support measurement of completed works.
Review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and assist in quantity verification.
Support the review of contractors' progress claims and Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).
Monitor variations, change orders, and additional work requests.
Ensure construction activities comply with contractual requirements. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all construction activities.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
Participate in HSE inspections, toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident investigations.
Immediately stop and report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.
Ensure all personnel comply with site safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate site records,
inspection reports, progress photographs, daily site diaries, and construction documentation.
Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, punch lists, snagging reports, and completion certificates.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
Ensure all project records are properly maintained and archived.
Authority
Inspect and verify completed construction work within assigned authority.
Reject work that does not comply with approved specifications, drawings, or quality requirements.
Recommend corrective actions to contractors to resolve construction deficiencies.
Coordinate site priorities with the Projects Manager.
Escalate technical, contractual, quality, and HSE issues that may impact project performance.
Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
A Master's degree is an advantage.
Skilled certifications in Project Management, QA/QC, Construction Management, or HSE are desirable.
Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision for infrastructure, industrial, oil & gas, energy, or building projects.
Proven experience supervising multidisciplinary construction works.
Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
Experience in QA/QC inspections, BOQ verification, IPC reviews, and construction documentation.
Experience working with government organizations, international clients, or EPC contractors is an advantage.
