Signage & Wayfinding Designer

Key Responsibilities

- Develop wayfinding strategies, signage hierarchies, and navigation systems for built environments.
- Prepare concept design presentations, signage master plans, and wayfinding documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, landscape consultants, MEP consultants, and clients for signage integration.
- Design internal and external signage systems including:

- Directional signage

- Identification signage

- Regulatory and statutory signage

- Emergency evacuation signage
- Vehicular and pedestrian wayfinding systems
- Produce detailed drawings, signage schedules, BOQs, material specifications, and fabrication details.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, accessibility standards, fire safety regulations, and brand guidelines.
- Conduct site surveys, signage location mapping, and installation coordination.
- Develop mock-ups, material palettes, typography systems, iconography, and environmental graphic concepts.
- Review shop drawings, prototypes, and fabrication samples submitted by vendors.
- Coordinate with production teams for execution quality and design consistency.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of architecture,



spatial planning, and user circulation.
- Knowledge of environmental graphic design (EGD) and wayfinding principles.

- Proficiency in

- AutoCAD

- Adobe Illustrator

- Photoshop

- InDesign
- SketchUp / Rhino / Revit (preferred)
- Understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, lighting systems, and signage construction.
- Solid graphic visualization and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and coordinate across disciplines.
- Knowledge of universal accessibility and emergency signage standards.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in airports, healthcare, commercial complexes, institutional campuses, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Familiarity with brand implementation and large-scale navigation systems.
- Experience handling site execution and vendor coordination.
