About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Shopify Developer who can build, customize, and deploy high-performing Shopify stores end-to-end. This role is ideal for someone who has already shipped multiple live stores and is comfortable working across themes, custom sections, and Shopify's modern architecture — not just installing apps and tweaking templates.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and customize Shopify websites from scratch based on client requirements and design files

- Build and maintain custom sections, blocks, and templates using Shopify 2.0 architecture

- Create and manage metafields to power dynamic, flexible content across product, collection, and page templates

- Customize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to match brand and functional requirements

- Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and tools as needed (payment gateways, shipping, marketing tools, etc.)

- Ensure stores are optimized for speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices

- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, layout issues, and functionality gaps across live stores

- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate requirements into functional store elements

- Test thoroughly across devices/browsers before deployment

- Maintain documentation of custom builds for future reference and handovers

Must-Have Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on Shopify development experience





- Proven experience building custom Shopify websites

(not just theme customization via drag-and-drop builders)

- Strong working knowledge of

Shopify 2.0

, including JSON templates,

sections

, and blocks

- Practical experience with metafields and how to surface them in the storefront

- Solid command of

Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

- Track record of having developed and deployed 20+ Shopify stores

(portfolio/live links required)

Positive to Have

- Experience with Shopify Plus

- Familiarity with headless Shopify setups or Hydrogen

- Experience with app development or Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API)

- Basic understanding of performance optimization (Core Web Vitals) for Shopify stores

- Exposure to version control (Git)
