We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in the Set-Top Box (STB) domain to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining embedded software solutions for Linux-based STB platforms. The role requires strong expertise in embedded systems, middleware, device drivers, video technologies, and end-to-end product development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for STB platforms.

- Work on Linux-based application development, middleware integration, and system bring-up activities.

- Develop and debug device drivers, board support packages (BSP), and platform software.

- Integrate and support video/audio playback solutions, DRM, OTT, and broadcast technologies.

- Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex software issues.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, product management, and customer engineering teams.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices.

- Support product releases, customer deployments, and field issue investigations.

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.





- Drive automation and CI/CD improvements for faster product development and testing.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid programming experience in C and C++

- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux systems and Drivers

- Deep understanding of multimedia frameworks (GStreamer preferred)

- Experience with STB (Set-Top Box) platforms

- Experience with GStreamer, and adaptive streaming technologies an added advantage

- Expertise in multithreading, IPC, memory management, and debugging techniques.

- Device driver development and debugging experience.

- Good understanding of kernel internals, and BSP development.

Set-Top Box Technologies:

- Strong understanding of STB architecture and video delivery systems.

- Experience with ATSC, DVB, IPTV, Hybrid STB, or Android TV platforms.

- Knowledge of MPEG-TS, MPEG-DASH, HLS, and adaptive streaming technologies.

- Familiarity with CAS/DRM technologies such as PlayReady, Widevine, and Verimatrix.

- Experience with OTT application integration and media frameworks.

- Experience in video rendering pipelines and playback debugging

Video & Streaming:

- Understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1)

- Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTP/RTSP)

- Experience in video rendering pipelines and playback debugging
