Role & responsibilities

ServiceNow Platform Senior Developer to support platform evolution and scale. The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform, driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy custom applications, modules, and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform aligned with HOS onboarding requirements.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery: requirement analysis, low-level design, development, unit testing, code review, deployment, and hyper-care.
- Build server-side (Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs) and client-side (Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions) logic using Glide APIs and JavaScript.
- Develop and manage integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and custom spokes.
- Implement Access Control Rules (ACLs), roles, and data segregation to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Lead performance tuning, technical debt reduction, and platform upgrade activities across releases.
- Enforce ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and Technical Governance across the delivery team.
- Collaborate with architects, process consultants, and stakeholders

Mandatory Skills and Experience

- 6 to 9 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform development experience across multiple full-lifecycle implementations.
- Solid expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
- Proven experience with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations, and MID Server configuration.




- Deep working knowledge of ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog).
- Experience with Service Portal development (AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3) and exposure to UI Builder / Next Experience.
- Solid understanding of CMDB, CI Class Manager, Discovery, and Service Mapping concepts.
- Experience implementing ACLs, roles, domain separation, and data policies for enterprise-scale instances.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum delivery, Git-based source control, and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Exposure to ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management), SecOps, HRSD, or CSM.
- Experience with Performance Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboards.
- Familiarity with ATF (Automated Test Framework), Update Sets, and Application Repository.
- Understanding of ITIL v4 framework and process design.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
