About The Role The ServiceNow Architect / Presales Lead at Sonata Software is a pivotal role responsible for leading solutioning and presales activities related to ServiceNow platform pursuits. This role involves providing architectural oversight for strategic project deliveries, shaping technical proposals, and ensuring client engagements are aligned with best practices and innovative solutions. The incumbent will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex IT transformations utilizing ServiceNow’s extensive capabilities including ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITAM, and platform features such as IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and AI-enabled experiences like Now Assist and GenAI.

The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will lead bid responses, orchestrate tailored demonstrations, and develop reference architectures that demonstrate value, scalability, and integration readiness. Additionally, you will collaborate with sales, marketing, and alliance teams to develop industry-specific solutions and accelerate pursuit success.

The role also involves mentoring technical teams, ensuring quality standards, and transitioning solutions seamlessly into delivery phases.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10-15 years of experience in enterprise platform environments, with at least 6 years dedicated to ServiceNow. Proven leadership in presales activities,



especially on medium to large pursuits, is essential. Deep expertise in at least two ServiceNow domains such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, or ITAM, along with a mastery of CMDB and data modeling, is required.

Candidates should demonstrate a successful track record in producing compelling proposals, accurate estimates, and well-structured Statements of Work (SOW). Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform components including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Automated Test Framework (ATF), and security best practices is critical. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of integration patterns involving enterprise systems such as SSO, IDP, observability tools, ERP, HR systems, and DevOps tools.

Excellent communication skills, especially in storytelling and engaging with executive stakeholders, are vital. Relevant certifications such as CSA, CIS-ITSM, CIS ITOM, and CIS CSM are highly preferred, along with exposure to AI/GenAI features and industry-specific knowledge.

Responsibilities Presales & Deal Leadership (Primary) Own and drive the technical strategy for ServiceNow pursuits, including discovery, solution hypothesis, value articulation, TCO, ROI, and competitive positioning.

Lead the development of RFI/RFP responses, including solution architecture, effort estimation, SOW creation, staffing plans, and risk management, ensuring traceability to client requirements.

Design and orchestrate tailored demos and Proof of Values (POVs) across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and platform capabilities like Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Virtual Agent.

Collaborate with sales, alliances, and marketing teams to shape industry-specific offers, accelerators, and reference architectures, particularly for US markets and targeted sectors.

Present solutions to diverse stakeholders,



including business leaders, architects, and procurement teams, effectively defending proposals and handling objections with confidence. Architecture & Delivery Oversight (Secondary) Define comprehensive reference architectures that address multi-instance strategies, domain separation, security, performance, and compliance requirements.

Govern platform foundation elements such as CMDB strategy, Discovery & Service Mapping, health scans, observability, and upgrade roadmaps to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Design and oversee integration patterns with enterprise systems, including REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and identity providers like Entra ID and Okta.

Embed AI and automation features such as Now Assist and GenAI into solutions, ensuring they are implemented with appropriate guardrails for knowledge search, case deflection, and agent assistance.

Mentor technical leads and developers, uphold high standards of design quality, estimation accuracy, and ensure solutions are ready for seamless transition into delivery phases.
