Role Description The Service Technician role at Gurudev Motors – Skoda Cars Workshop, Guindy is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on Skoda vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines and workshop standards. Daily activities include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out repairs, and documenting work performed in service records.

The role involves collaborating with service advisors, ensuring timely completion of jobs, and maintaining a clean, protected,



and organized work bay.

Service

Technicians also interact with customers as needed to explain work completed and support a high level of service quality and satisfaction.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including scheduled servicing and mechanical/electrical repair of passenger vehicles.

Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for identifying faults using tools, equipment, and technical manuals.

Candidates should possess Field Service and workshop operation skills, including adherence to safety procedures and manufacturer standards.

Candidates should possess Customer Service capabilities to communicate clearly, support service advisors, and contribute to positive customer experiences.

Candidates should possess general Maintenance skills to perform preventive checks, quality inspections, and post-repair validation.

Diploma/ITI in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Experience working in an authorized car workshop or dealership, ideally with Skoda or similar brands, is an advantage.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standard operating procedures, and collaborate effectively with team members.
