Senior WordPress Developer & Team Lead

We are seeking a Senior WordPress Developer & Team Lead to own end-to-end website delivery for our diverse international clientele while leading a team of 3 WordPress developers. You will be responsible for architecture decisions, client-facing technical execution, quality assurance of your team's output, and driving continuous improvement across all web projects.

This role mirrors the work of our current technical lead: managing multiple client websites simultaneously, handling complex integrations, and ensuring every site meets performance, design, and conversion standards. You won't just build, you'll set the standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Quality Control:

- Lead, mentor, and review the work of 3 WordPress developers.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure on-time delivery across multiple client accounts.
- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Identify skill gaps and drive technical growth within the team.

Website Development & Architecture:

- Design and implement new features and functionalities for WordPress websites across multiple client accounts (real estate, health, finance, consulting).
- Establish and guide website architecture to ensure optimal performance.
- Set up new WordPress instances, subdomains, and subdirectories as required.
- Ensure high-performance and availability, managing all technical aspects of the CMS.

Integrations & Technical Systems:

- Implement HubSpot + WordPress integrations (forms, tracking, lead routing, custom properties).
- Set up and manage Google Analytics, Search Console, and conversion tracking.
- Handle domain configurations, SSL, hosting environments, and DNS.

Theme & Plugin Customization:

- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress builds using Elementor Pro.
- Modify existing themes and plugins to enhance functionality and user experience.

Maintenance & Optimization:





- Own monthly website maintenance routines: updates, backups, performance audits, security scans.
- Conduct performance tests and implement optimizations for speed, Core Web Vitals, and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot website issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage mobile responsiveness and on-page SEO across all client sites.

Client-Facing Revisions & Delivery:

- Receive client revision requests, interpret feedback, and ensure accurate implementation.
- Communicate technical constraints and timelines clearly to project managers.

Creativity & Innovation:

- Bring recent website design ideas, UX concepts, and animations into play.
- Work proactively to suggest enhancements that improve aesthetic, speed, or conversion.
- Integrate AI tools into development workflows to increase efficiency.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing custom WordPress websites.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a small development team.
- Expert-level proficiency with Elementor Pro and custom theme/plugin development.
- Strong ability to convert Figma designs into responsive WordPress themes.
- Experience with HubSpot integrations (forms, tracking codes, CRM connectivity).
- Solid understanding of hosting environments, cPanel/WHM, DNS, SSL, and deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with AI tools and how they can be integrated into development workflows.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple client projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and quality-first mindset.
- Effective communication skills in English (B2+ level required).
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, ownership, and self-direction.
- Ability to manage a team and multiple deadlines without micromanagement.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month (depending on experience)
