Role Description The Senior VMware Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware-based virtualization infrastructure to support enterprise applications and services. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and optimizing ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related virtualization components, performing capacity planning, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and reliability of virtual environments. The role involves troubleshooting complex virtualization issues, maintaining security and compliance standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support deployments, upgrades, and migrations.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai,



requiring close coordination with internal stakeholders and occasional support during critical incidents or maintenance windows. Qualifications

Solid VMware expertise, including hands-on experience with ESXi, vCenter Server, vSphere, and virtual networking and storage.

Solid background in server, storage, and network infrastructure, including SAN/NAS, TCP/IP, VLANs, and data center operations.

Proficiency in automation and scripting (such as PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar tools) to streamline deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks.

Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions in virtualized environments.

Knowledge of operating systems (Windows and/or Linux) administration and integration within VMware platforms.

Ability to analyze performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and implement optimization and remediation measures.

Strong documentation skills for creating technical runbooks, architectural diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.

Several years of relevant experience in virtualization and data center engineering; prior senior or lead-level responsibility is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant VMware certifications (such as VCP, VCAP) are an advantage.
