Job Summary The role sits within the UX team and focuses on using motion and visuals as functional design tools, not just visual polish. The ideal candidate understands how animation, video, icons, illustrations, and visual assets can guide users, explain functionality, communicate system feedback, and elevate the overall product experience.

Responsibilities
- Motion & UX Design: Design and deliver motion solutions that enhance usability, comprehension, and engagement across digital products.
- Partner with UX designers and product teams to incorporate motion into user flows, interactions, micro-interactions, and prototypes.
- Apply motion to communicate product behavior, state changes, hierarchy, and system feedback.
- Develop storyboards, interaction animations, prototypes, and lightweight videos to support onboarding, feature education, and product storytelling.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure motion designs are technically feasible and implemented as intended.
- Visual Design & Video Creation: Create high-quality visual assets to support product and digital initiatives, including icons and icon systems.
- Illustrations and decorative elements.
- Banners, posters, and promotional creatives.
- Short videos or motion-led visual assets as needed.
- Ensure all visual and motion deliverables align with brand guidelines, UX standards, and digital design systems.
- Support digital promotions, loyalty initiatives, and enterprise features where robust visuals or motion improve the product experience.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with UX, product, marketing, and engineering partners to deliver cohesive visual and motion experiences.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and maintaining high craft quality.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to improving overall motion and visual quality within the UX practice.
Must-Have Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate UX, motion, and visual design decisions clearly.
- Ability to work autonomously as an individual contributor and take ownership from concept through execution.
- Robust understanding of UX fundamentals and how motion and visuals support usability and clarity.
- Solid foundation in visual design principles including typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and consistency.
- Strong grasp of motion principles such as timing, easing, continuity, and hierarchy applied to UI and digital contexts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing motion and visuals for digital products or enterprise-scale platforms.
- Experience creating motion for onboarding, micro-interactions, feature education, and system feedback.
- Familiarity with digital promotions, campaign tools, loyalty platforms, or retail/e-commerce experiences.
- Experience working in agile or iterative product development environments.
- Exposure to accessibility considerations related to motion and visual design.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's / 4-year degree
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Background: Degree in UX Design, Motion Design, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
