Role Description The Senior Video Editor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru at City College – Jayanagar. The role involves planning and editing video content for academic, promotional, and institutional communication, including lectures, events, social media campaigns, and brand-building initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling raw footage, refining narrative flow, applying transitions, sound, and visual effects, and ensuring consistent color grading and overall quality.

The Senior Video

Editor will collaborate with faculty, administration, and the marketing team to align video outputs with educational and branding objectives, while mentoring junior editors or student interns when needed. The role also includes managing project timelines,



maintaining organized media libraries, and staying updated on current trends in educational and digital video content.

Qualifications

Strong video production skills, including planning shoots, handling camera setups, and coordinating with stakeholders during recording.

Advanced video editing skills with proficiency in non-linear editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

Applied expertise in video color grading and visual enhancement to maintain a consistent, professional look across projects.

Ability to create and integrate motion graphics and graphics to support educational content, branding, and promotional materials.

Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film, Media Studies, Visual Communication, or a related field; senior-level industry experience may substitute formal education.

Demonstrated portfolio of academic, corporate, or promotional video projects showcasing editing, storytelling, and design skills.

Strong sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in an educational environment.

Experience leading or mentoring junior editors or interns and contributing to process improvements in video workflows.
