Senior UX Designer Location: Noida As a Senior UX Designer at WatchGuard, you are a seasoned practitioner who independently drives design quality across complex product areas. You bring deep expertise in visual design, systems thinking, and user research, and you consistently raise the bar for design craft within your team. You proactively identify UX problems before they become engineering problems, mentor junior designers, and help shape the product direction alongside PM and engineering leads.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design Execution

Lead end-to-end UX design for complex, high-impact product areas including security dashboards, threat management consoles, and configuration workflows.

Produce sophisticated, high-fidelity prototypes and interaction models that handle edge cases, error states, and real-world data complexity.

Drive design quality from early concept through final implementation review and QA.

Make independent design decisions with sound UX rationale and communicate them confidently to stakeholders.

Design Systems & Visual Craft

Actively contribute to and help evolve the WatchGuard design system authoring new components, patterns, and documentation in Figma.

Define interaction patterns and visual treatments for complex UI scenarios specific to security software (alerts, status indicators, data tables, log views).

Establish and enforce visual consistency and quality standards across your product area.

Research & Strategy

Plan and execute UX research activities including usability tests, contextual inquiries, and design reviews with customers.

Synthesize research findings into actionable design insights and influence roadmap prioritization.

Map end-to-end customer journeys for security operations personas and identify systemic UX improvements.

Proactively identify and prioritize UX debt and advocate for addressing it.





Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor UX Designer 1 and 2 colleagues through design critiques, pairing sessions, and feedback.

Partner with engineering leads to define scalable front-end component strategies aligned with design intent.

Represent the design perspective in cross-functional planning, estimation, and architecture discussions.

Build trust with product and business stakeholders through explicit, persuasive design storytelling.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 6+ years of professional UX/product design experience with a focus on complex, data-rich interfaces.

A compelling portfolio demonstrating mastery of visual design, interaction design, design systems, and UX process.

Expert-level proficiency in Figma including design tokens, advanced prototyping, and design system contribution.

Experience conducting and synthesizing user research to directly influence design decisions.

Demonstrated ability to work independently on large, ambiguous design challenges with minimal direction.

Excellent communication and presentation skills able to articulate design decisions to both design peers and non-design stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience designing enterprise SaaS products in cybersecurity, networking, or IT management domains.

Familiarity with SOC workflows, network monitoring dashboards, or security event management interfaces.

Experience with data visualization design for complex, real-time security telemetry.

History of mentoring junior designers and elevating team design quality.

Contributions to design community through writing, speaking, or open-source design work.

Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or equivalent.

Champion WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility standards and model best practices for the team.

Understanding of front-end implementation (HTML/CSS, React component patterns) to collaborate deeply with engineers.
