Company Description Superfan.ng (SPNG) is an edtech learning platform dedicated to African languages and cultural knowledge. The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first approach to engage learners with African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs.

Designed for Africans and the diaspora, SPNG focuses on making cultural learning accessible, interactive, and fun. The team is driven by a mission to preserve and celebrate African heritage through modern digital experiences that appeal to learners of all ages.

Role Description As a Senior User Experience Designer at Superfan.ng (SPNG), you will lead the end-to-end design of engaging, culturally rich learning experiences across web and mobile platforms. In this full-time remote role, you will conduct user research, translate insights into user flows and interaction patterns, and create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that support a quiz-first learning model.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content creators, and cultural experts to refine features, improve usability, and maintain a consistent design system. You will also facilitate design workshops, iterate on designs based on user feedback and data,



and help define UX best practices and standards for the product.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) skills to drive problem-solving and user-centered solutions.
- Candidates should possess User Research skills, including planning studies, conducting interviews or usability tests, and synthesizing findings.
- Candidates should possess Visual Design skills to create clear, engaging, and culturally sensitive interfaces.
- Candidates should possess Prototyping skills to build interactive wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for testing and iteration.
- Experience designing for consumer-facing mobile and web products, preferably in edtech, gaming, or learning platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with up-to-date design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar) and familiarity with design systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; interest in African languages and cultures is highly beneficial.
