Thawer Philanthropies Endowment (TPE) is a US$1 billion private family endowment supporting institution-building, human development and venture philanthropy across emerging and developed markets.

Through its Social Impact Venture Funds, TPE allocates capital to public-benefit ventures addressing education, healthcare, workforce development, climate resilience, financial inclusion and economic mobility.

TPE is expanding its Venture Nomination Council and is seeking senior talent acquisition, executive-search and leadership recruitment professionals capable of identifying exceptional founders, operators and emerging institutional leaders for the TPE Venture Builder-in-Residence Program.

Advisor Role

This is not a conventional internal recruiting, human-resources or salaried employment position.

Appointed Advisors will serve as independent members of the TPE Venture Nomination Council. Their mandate is to originate, assess and recommend qualified candidates capable of building scalable public-benefit ventures.

Each Advisor will be expected to nominate a minimum of five qualified candidates per quarter. Nominations must reflect TPE’s standards for execution capacity, institutional leadership, commercial judgment, social-impact potential and measurable public value.

Responsibilities

- Source high-caliber founders, executives, operators and emerging venture builders.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospective candidates.
- Recommend at least five qualified candidates per quarter.
- Conduct preliminary assessments using the TPE Selection Matrix.
- Evaluate leadership capacity, execution discipline, venture scalability and commitment to public benefit.




- Submit independent recommendations through TPE’s designated assessment platform.
- Maintain confidentiality, objectivity and integrity throughout the nomination process.
- Participate in periodic Council briefings and program reviews.

Council members do not approve candidates, allocate capital, manage ventures or exercise custody or authority over TPE funds. All selection and capital-allocation decisions remain exclusively with TPE and its authorized committees.

Candidate Profile

TPE is principally seeking professionals with established talent networks and demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Senior talent acquisition
- Executive search and leadership recruitment
- Founder and startup recruitment
- University placement and alumni networks
- Leadership assessment and development
- Technology, product and engineering recruitment
- Incubator, accelerator or innovation-program management
- Social-impact and nonprofit leadership recruitment

Ideal candidates will possess strong professional credibility, independent judgment and direct access to founders, operators, technical professionals or institutional leaders. They should be capable of sourcing candidates through established qualified networks rather than relying exclusively on public job postings.

Compensation

Council members may earn up to US$100,000 annually through conditional placement incentives.

Compensation becomes eligible only when a Council-nominated candidate successfully completes TPE’s assessment process and is formally accepted into the Venture Builder-in-Residence Program. This is not a salaried position, and compensation is based on qualified candidates being accepted into the Venture Builder in Residence Program.
