We are looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and frontend architecture to lead the design and evolution of complex, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building scalable UI systems, driving technical strategy, optimizing performance, and mentoring engineering teams while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

- Own frontend architecture including module boundaries, state/data flow, rendering strategy, and extensibility for a complex web application
- Drive technical roadmap through RFCs and architecture reviews, balancing speed-to-market with long-term maintainability




- Own frontend performance across large documents, long sessions, and memory usage — including canvases with thousands of AI-generated nodes
- Set the bar for testing, CI quality gates, observability, and release reliability for a zero-regression culture
- Partner closely with Design, Product, and Backend teams on tradeoffs, API design, and distributed systems
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical workshops to raise frontend engineering craft organization-wide
- 10+ years building large-scale web apps, 2–4 years owning frontend architecture —deep expertise in React, TypeScript, complex UI systems (canvas/node editors), state management (Zustand/Recoil/Jotai/Redux), and performance optimization
