Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality backend solutions.
Build and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices adhering to industry best practices.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform system reviews, problem analysis, and solution design.
Implement unit and integration testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance bottlenecks.
Ensure software designs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed services.
Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to team best practices.
Develop event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka.
Integrate microservices with relational databases and messaging systems.
Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile methodologies.
Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards, security, and quality requirements.
Utilize automated quality and security scanning tools throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Technical Skills
Core Java & Spring Technologies
Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
Hands-on experience with: Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring HATEOAS, Spring REST, Spring for Apache Kafka, JPA Criteria Query
Microservices & API Development
Extensive experience designing and developing Microservices Architecture.
Expertise in RESTful Web Services and API development.
Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
Solid understanding of service integration patterns and distributed systems.
Messaging & Event-Driven Architecture
Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
Familiarity with messaging technologies and MQ platforms.
Database & Querying
Experience integrating microservices with relational databases.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and data access patterns.
DevOps & Development Tools
Hands-on experience with: Git, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), CI/CD practices
Familiarity with software design patterns and best practices.
Data Formats & Technologies
Strong programming and design skills using: JSON, XML, XSLT, YAML (YML)
Experience working in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
4+ years of experience building and deploying Spring Boot microservices.
Proven experience developing distributed and scalable enterprise applications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. plus.
