Role Description The Senior Site Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in India, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction and installation activities related to bridge bearings, expansion joints, and associated structural solutions. This role includes supervising site teams, coordinating with project managers and clients, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards, and monitoring progress against project schedules.

The Senior Site

Engineer will review drawings and technical documents, conduct site inspections and quality checks, and manage resources to meet project milestones. The role also involves resolving on-site technical issues,



preparing reports and documentation, and supporting bridge repair and rehabilitation works to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly in bridge construction, structural components, and rehabilitation methods.

Experience in site supervision, execution of structural works, and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications (including MORT&H; and IRC standards), and method statements.

Proficiency in project planning, progress monitoring, and basic use of project management tools for scheduling and reporting.

Understanding of quality control processes, inspection procedures, and documentation required for government and private sector projects.

Familiarity with workplace safety regulations, risk assessments, and implementation of site safety practices.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in bridge engineering or construction management are an advantage.

Several years of relevant experience in bridge or heavy civil infrastructure projects, preferably involving bearings, expansion joints, or related structural systems.

Effective communication skills, ability to lead site teams, and readiness to work in diverse project locations across India.
