SAP Security & Authorizations Specialist (S/4HANA & GRC – FICO Focus)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Security & Authorizations Specialist to join our SAP Security team. The role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of SAP authorizations across S/4HANA and BW/4HANA landscapes, with deep integration into SAP GRC Access Control. The primary functional focus of this role is SAP FICO, ensuring secure, compliant, and business-aligned access controls. Key Responsibilities:

SAP Security & Authorizations:

Design, build,



and maintain SAP roles and authorizations using PFCG for S/4HANA and BW/4HANA systems, with strong emphasis on FICO processes.

Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into compliant and scalable authorization concepts.

Support the full authorization lifecycle including role design, testing, transport, and decommissioning. SAP GRC Integration:

Operate and support SAP GRC Access Control including UAM, EAM (Firefighter), ARA, and UAR.

Ensure integration between S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP GRC for provisioning and risk analysis.

Perform SoD analysis, role remediation, and mitigation control assignments. FICO & Business Collaboration:

Act as SAP Security point of contact for FICO-related topics.

Work closely with Finance process owners, FICO consultants, and audit teams.

Provide guidance on secure role design for Finance processes such as GL, AP, AR, Assets, and Controlling. Operations & Compliance:

Handle authorization incidents, service requests, and changes following ITSM processes.

Support internal and external audits including access reviews and evidence preparation.

Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives in SAP Security.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA authorizations.

Solid knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control.

Expertise in PFCG, authorization objects, and SU24.

Solid understanding of SAP FICO processes from a security perspective. Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Structured, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused mindset.
