Position Summary:

As a Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a key individual contributor role in designing, architecting, developing, and optimizing e-commerce solutions on the SFCC platform. You will bridge the gap between scalable back-end architecture and visually stunning front-end user experiences. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and build seamless, high-performing digital shopping experiences that elevate brands and enhance customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture &

- Leadership:
- Act as a technical thought leader and mentor for other developers by sharing best practices, knowledge, and techniques.
- Lead the analysis, implementation, and development of modern, scalable software solutions on SFCC B2C.
- Participate in post-sales technical scoping, requirements and solution evaluation, estimation, and client-facing technical communication.

Full-Stack Development:

- Develop, customize, and enhance SFCC B2C solutions to meet business and client needs.
- Implement and optimize front-end components using ISML, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and other relevant technologies.
- Convert high-impact, dynamic, and often novel designs into highly usable, functional user experiences.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy programmatic solutions that are maintainable and reusable.

Integrations &

- Performance:
- Integrate with major external systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, middleware, payment gateways, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Evaluate clients 1st and 3rd party data integration requirements and develop integration strategies.
- Optimize site performance, security, and scalability to ensure a seamless user experience, troubleshooting technical issues efficiently.

Collaboration &

- Communication:




- Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, business analysts, product managers, quality assurance engineers, architects, and developers.
- Provide prompt and proactive communication of project progress, risks, or issues via tools like email, Jira, time-tracking systems, Slack, and Google Meet.
- Proactive communication & escalation especially when things are going wrong or work blockage occurs.
- Skill in articulating complex technical trade-offs and/or risks to less technical stakeholders.

Professional Development:

- Continued learning of SFCC best practices, emerging technologies & features, and the latest methodologies within the commerce industry overall.
- Participate in internal SFCC community discussions and brown bag knowledge sessions. Nice to have someone who participates in the global SFCC community (Slack, SF Partner/Developer Community).
- Continued learning in Agentic Delivery methodology.

Qualifications &

- Skills:

Experience:

- 8 years of overall software development experience, with at least 3 years of direct experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C Solutions.
- 3 years in a client-facing role (internal or external).

Technical Proficiency:

- Strong proficiency in SFCC development, including SFRA, DW Script, ISML, JavaScript, and OCAPI/SCAPI.
- Demonstrated experience extending OCAPI &
- SCAPI or building custom APIs.




- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) JavaScript, RESTful API architectures, and MVC design patterns.
- Working proficiency with React and NodeJS.
- Working knowledge of server-level infrastructure & capabilities of Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions.
- Robust familiarity with Salesforce Business Manager.

Experience with custom BM Modules is a plus.

- Strong working knowledge of imports and exports capabilities of SFCC.
- Strong familiarity with Salesforce DX tools including the SFCC CLI.
- Understanding of Cloudflare and familiarity with managing it in SFCC sites (aka ECDN - the SFCC Embedded CDN).
- Strong experience designing and implementing content management solutions with Page Designer. Ideally experienced with integrating external CMS solutions as well.
- Strong experience with both client-to-server & server-to-server integrations.
- Familiarity with scaffolding tools like Postman.
- Solid experience working with teams using Gitflow.
- Strong UI/UX aesthetic & usability sensibilities with demonstrable experience implementing ADA complaint solutions.

Testing &

- QA:
- Solid experience with Unit and Integration Testing.
- Experience building components and writing tests with tools like Storybook, Percy, Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress, etc., is a plus.

Emerging Technologies (Plus):

- Familiarity with Headless Commerce and API-first architectures.
- Familiarity with agentic coding, sub-agents, and agent-swarms is a major plus.

Soft Skills &

- Education:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, an eye for detail, and an understanding of Design Patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in English.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer or Architect certifications are a strong plus.
